  • Didier Drogba sends class message to Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata

Morata opened the scoring for Chelsea in their victory over Leicester on Saturday, but the match was marred by the chant which contains an anti-Semitic reference to Chelsea's cross-city rivals Tottenham.

Alvaro Morata has told Chelsea supporters to "respect everyone" after the club condemned a song about the Spaniard that includes an anti-Semitic slur.

The lyrics sang were "Alvaro, oh, Alvaro, oh".

"He does not want to be connected with that song in any way and both the player and the club request that the supporters stop singing that song with immediate effect".

"Alvaro, Alvaro. He comes from Madrid, he hates the f****** Yids", sang Chelsea supporters at the King Power Stadium.

Do you believe in icons? "I don't believe in personalities", he shared. "I believe we're a field of energy dancing for itself". Carrey has struggled with mental illness , and he's spoken openly about his hard childhood and his battle with depression .

Chelsea's management wasted no time in condemning the sick song and pleaded with their support to ditch it.

A club spokesman said: "The club and the players appreciate the fans' passionate support away from home, of course, but the language in that song is not acceptable at all".

Chelsea fans also pushed a black commuter off a Metro train in Paris in February 2015 ahead of a Champions League tie.

Conte added: "We are totally in agreement with the club".

Immediately after the win at Leicester, before Morata was made aware of the unsavoury singing, he said: "It is important to win here".

Morata, an instant hit with fans after three goals since his record-transfer from Real Madrid, also objects to the song, Sportsmail has previously reported.

'It was a hard game so you have to be happy with the result'.

"We were in a good position at 2-0 but suffered to the end".

However, since his reunion with Antonio Conte, the attacker has scored three goals and registered three assists in his first four games in the English top flight, and seems to have settled into the Premier League remarkably well.
