Farther north in South Carolina, Boeing said it was suspending manufacturing operations starting on Saturday (Sept. 9) morning. In Central Florida, no passenger flights were planned at Orlando International, with more than 300 flights canceled. The bulk of those cancellations were at Hartsfield-Jackson International and Miami International Airport. "After damage assessment, we will determine if passenger flights will resume on Tuesday, September 12". He said there was significant water damage throughout its facilities. Sir Richard says he has visited the nearest ones to Necker and has seen "first-hand how ferocious and unforgiving this storm was". The British Virgin Islands is a self-governing British overseas territory with the Queen as its head of state.

As Hurricane Irma raged up the west coast of Florida, images of the storm were pouring from news sites and it's inevitable that aircraft and airports will have suffered from the onslaught.

Atlanta Airport tweeted this on Monday: "Rain/wind from #irma have arrived". Commercial airline flights had already been halted in Miami and Fort Lauderdale, among others. Tuesday's early flight - an outbound that has been scheduled for 5:30 a.m. - also has been canceled. The day will give the airport time to get personnel as numerous facility's 4,000 workers were affected by the storm.

Chelsea fans also pushed a black commuter off a Metro train in Paris in February 2015 ahead of a Champions League tie. Chelsea's management wasted no time in condemning the sick song and pleaded with their support to ditch it.

Further north, at Tampa International officials said early inspections showed minimal damage after the airport sustained winds of up to 52 miles per hour and gusts of 66 miles per hour. American, for example, had canceled all of its flights there through Monday.
