  • Jim Carrey Just Stole The Fashion Week Red Carpet With No Bullsh*t Interview

Jim Carrey is well-known for his weird sense of humor and the 55-year-old actor chose to take it to a whole new level this weekend by deciding to attend an event he clearly didn't give AF about and then attempting to make everyone else feel stupid for being there.

The Bruce Almighty star made an unlikely appearance at the Harper's Bazaar Celebrates ICONS By Carine Roitfeld party in the Big Apple on Friday and gave E!

"We don't matter", Carrey said before walking away.

Oh man. Sadly, despite Miz Sadler's attempts to get a positive quote from the celebrated comedian, the red carpet convo only proceeded to get more awkward.

The 55-year-old actor opened up to E! But there is a wonderful fragrance in the air. "I mean you gotta admit it's completely meaningless", Carey starts with. News' Catt Sadler, that still doesn't quite set the stage for his performance, which ranges from self-consciously "weird" (walking in circles around Sadler before the interview) to genuinely worrying.

But the most memorable moment from the event was provided by actor Jim Carrey.

When Sadler informed Carrey that the evening was all about celebrating icons, he responded, "That is just the absolute lowest aiming, you know, possibility that we can come up with". Do you believe in icons? "I don't believe in personalities", he shared.

"I believe we're a field of energy dancing for itself".

Probably one of the most real things I've ever heard a celebrity say. "There's just things happening".

As he leaves, Carrey puts his hands on Sadler's upper arms and gives her a pat.

"We're all so afraid of the river of tears", Carey said, per People.

Carrey has struggled with mental illness, and he's spoken openly about his hard childhood and his battle with depression.
