Is the Orlando International Airport closing because of Hurricane Irma?

By Sunday morning, weather monitoring equipment at airports across South Florida, including Miami, were offline, underscoring the damage Irma is doing to airport infrastructure.

All flights at Miami International Airport have been cancelled until further notice. Cleaning crews are working on drying the water.

Flying somewhere on Monday from Columbia Metropolitan or other neighboring airports?

Area airports began ceasing flights on Saturday as Hurricane Irma edged nearer to Florida. Flight tracking service FlightAware.com estimated that more than 4,000 US flights were canceled Monday, on top of 3,200 on Sunday and 2,300 on Saturday.

On Sunday, Scavino tweeted a short video showing flooding at an airport that he claimed was in Miami. Flights are operating with pilot-to-pilot communication.
