The storm is now changing its course and is set to hit parts of Georgia, Alabama and SC.

President Donald Trump has "great concern" about the dangers of Hurricane Irma as it batters the Florida coast and has told his team he wants to travel to the state as soon as practicable, his vice president said on Sunday.

The rainfall could be between 8 to 16 inches in parts of Georgia, 3-12 inches in western SC, and western North Carolina and about 2 to 5 inches in eastern Alabama and southern Tennessee, reported Heavy.

More than 180,000 people huddled in shelters in the Sunshine State and officials warned it could take weeks for electricity to be restored to everyone.
