Rahul Gandhi will be beginning his two-week trip to the United States with an address at the University of California, Berkeley, on Monday. The Congress vice president is also likely to meet intellectuals, researchers and the academia and have a first-hand view of emerging technologies like nanotechnology, biotechnology and artificial intelligence, sources said.

Rahul will also give an address at the University of California, Berkeley, on the subject "India at 70 - Reflections on the Path forward", where he will talk about contemporary India and the path forward for the world's largest democracy. Now Press Trust of India reports that Gandhi will interact with global thinkers, political leaders and overseas Indians during his visit. He is also expected to meet members of the business community at a session held by the US-India Business Council. This is the first time that the Congress leader will be holding public meetings, meet political leaders and deliver speeches in the country.
