  • GROW, EVOLVE AND BATTLE FOR DOMINANCE IN NEW UBISOFT GAME ATOMEGA

Though in saying that it's an arena shooter, you kind of sell this game short, as there's not quite anything you can compare it to in the genre. Or forms, more accurately, since you'll have access to eight different "Exoforms" of varying shapes and size, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.

This is the latest project from the incubator at Ubisoft Reflections that developed 2015's Grow Home and its sequel, Grow Up.

United Nations approves new sanctions against North Korea
North Korea was condemned for its latest nuclear test in September, which it said was of an advanced hydrogen bomb. It was the eighth series of sanctions imposed on North Korea since it first tested a nuclear device in 2006.

Atomega takes place at the very end of time where reality is rapidly dissolving.

Playing as a "super advanced post-biological lifeform" called an Exoform (it's a cube, pretty much), you'll be competing for mass against seven other players. The studio has announced the game via the release of a new trailer. "As the laws of physics slowly repeal, the Exoforms fight for fun and dominance, replaying the final moments of the universe over and over in the last arena that will ever exist.", reads the official press release.

500k join campaign to "shoot down" Hurricane Irma
The description of the event read: "Everyone takes their fans outside and points them at Hurricane Irma to blow it away from us". More than 6m people in Florida were urged to evacuate as Irma approached, though some chose to sit it out.

Depression aside, Atomega looks to be an adorable shooter with plenty of strategy available, depending on if you want to play the powerful but easily targeted huge mech or the tiny but agile single block. "The more mass you gain, the more your lifeform will evolve along a diverse spectrum from nimble Atom to godlike Omega". At least, for now, the game seems to be a PC exclusive, with its Steam page already up and running.
