WhatsApp could soon allow users to recall sent messages

It looks like they'll still get a notification, but it will read "This message was deleted" meaning you'll probably still have to be a little imaginative if they ask what the message was about. WhatsApp may introduce a new feature that will let you unsend those embarrassing texts you have sent uninterestedly.

Reports say the recall server is working and successfully deleting messages. Now available in the latest WhatsApp beta, this feature is reportedly allowing users to delete the messages that have already been sent.

WhatsApp is testing a new feature called "Delete for everyone". Other than text messages, the user would also be able recall their images, videos, GIFs, and documents. The deleted message will be updated in the Notification Center saying that the "sender has deleted the message". Also if the server works, this does not mean that the feature is now enabled. The insider also notes that even though the server is now working, users still has to wait until WhatsApp finally enable the feature remotely.

WhatsApp is a popular chat app with over 1.2 billion active users in the world today.
