Engine problems were behind the New Jersey helicopter crash that killed 50-year-old country music singer Troy Gentry, the National Transportation Safety Board has found. Gentry died at a hospital. The crash also claimed the life of pilot James Robinson.

Those included a "run-on landing" or a "power-off autorotation descent", which Robinson had performed in the past.

With Chicago's first-place lead in the National League Central dwindling, the Cubs couldn't afford to wait much longer. Red Sox 11, A's 1 • Mookie Betts hit two home runs and a two-run triple, and host Boston rolled past Oakland.

Gentry was on the helicopter "purely for pleasure", TMZ reports from the NTSB document. Robinson initiated the autorotation at 950 feet.

The helicopter initially touched down about 10 feet away from where the wreckage was found, and almost 220 feet away from the runway, the NTSB said. It is unclear who was piloting the helicopter at the time of the crash. According to the Facebook page, he worked for Helicopter Flight Services, which trains people how to fly helicopters and offers site-seeing tours. To remember him, the Grand Ole Opry shared a video of Montgomery Gentry's last performance on the iconic Opry stage. The video shows them performing one of their biggest hits, "Where I Come From".
