"The arrest at 14:15hrs on Wednesday, 13 September relates to an incident at Thomas' Battersea School on Tuesday, 12 September when an individual gained access to its premises", a police spokesman said.

Police are "working with the school... to audit its security courses of action" following the capture, the Met said.

According to the statement, police officers attended the scene immediately after being alerted.

The Metropolitan Police, which is part of the protective security arrangements for the prince, said it is working with the school to review its security after the incident.
