A People magazine story published this week revealed the life threatening conditions that hospitalized Ric Flair on August 11th. Pretty soon it was drinking the beer and then getting in a hotel and drinking the liquor. "Like 20 drinks a day". Doctors discovered that the 68-year-old was in the early stages of kidney failure and on the verge of congestive heart failure, and Flair says the issues with his organs were the direct result of drinking alcohol.

Flair, who was given just a 20 percent chance of survival and placed in a medically induced coma, added, "I didn't think I was an alcoholic, but obviously I was".

Flair wrestled for over 40 years and is one of the most decorated figures in pro wrestling. Even now in recovery in a convalescent center in Atlanta. Fans of Flair know that he has an over the top personality, and it sounds like he had an over the top drinking habit as well.

"I've never taken a pain pill in my life", Flair told PEOPLE.
